ACTING on behalf of Nottingham City Council, heb has let 3
Cheapside, Nottingham to continental style bakery retailer
Bakerino.
The property comprises ground floor sales of 484 sq ft with a
further 235 sq ft of basement stores.
The Bakerino's concept is of a fast, self service modern bakery
with a wide range of good quality fresh products at reasonable
prices.
The property was let on a new five-year lease at an average
rental of £34,000 per annum.
heb partner Jonathan Emmerson said: "We are delighted to have
secured Bakerino for this unit, which shall be our first unit
within the UK for this new bakery concept. Whie we are still
in a difficult economic climate, it is encouraging to see new
retailers emerging to challenge the notion that the recession means
that everything has to stop.
Alex Clayton of Bakerino said: "We are very excited to be
opening our first shop in Nottingham. We are hoping to appeal to a
wide and varied customer base who likes the idea of choice, speedy
service and value for money. We will be open from breakfast right
through out the day with a constant range of freshly baked
products."
The unit is located within the historic council house with
adjacent retailers including Tony & Guy and Coventry Building
Society.
heb represented Nottingham City Council whose in house legal
department dealt with the lease. The tenant was represented by Emma
Dancer of Andersons Solicitors.
