Just over a year ago Pattonair Works council made the decision
that they would like to have an annual official Pattonair nominated
charity. A vote was held among the employees and Treetops
Hospice Ripple Appeal were voted as their charity of the year for
the period September 2008 to August 2009.
In that time a staggering total of £2122 has been raised
by staff. Pattonair's Communications Officer, Ella Richards, said
'we raised money by having monthly 'Business Casual Days'
where people had to pay £1 to dress in their own casual
clothes. The company then doubled that money each month. We also
had cake sales to raise extra funds.'
Kate Shaw, Treetops Hospice Ripple Appeal Manager, said,
'Pattonair's support and commitment to the Ripple Appeal has been
amazing! It's a very exciting period in our fundraising as we
are going to start building the new Care centre before the year is
out. Pattonair has certainly made a significant contribution
to our fundraising.'
