British heptathlete Louise Hazel spoke at a workshop which
offered guidance for West Midlands companies on the extent of
business to be won from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic
Games.
The three hour workshop is one in a series which will continue
at Coventry Chamber of Commerce on September 29, The Ludlow Food
Centre on October 13 and the Abbey Hotel in Malvern on November
13.
Hosted by Business Link West Midlands and funded by Advantage
West Midlands the workshop was organised by Birmingham and Solihull
Chamber of Commerce and is aimed at raising awareness of the
opportunities presented by the London 2012 Games.
Twenty three year old Louise was joined by representatives from
the Olympic taskforce and UK Trade & Investment.
Additional 2012 Procurement Training workshops have also been
developed as a follow up, to provide companies with in-depth
training on the detailed purchasing processes used by the London
2012 Games and other public sector organisations. These workshops,
organised by BIP Solutions, will commence in October.
