Forensic Pathways, the UK's award winning forensic and analytics
company, has been shortlisted for a National Business Award for the
way it uses innovative technology.
With its industry partner, Cambridgeshire Constabulary, it is
nominated in the Orange Best Use of Technology in Business
category.
Forensic Pathways, with offices in Tamworth, UK and Perth,
Australia, devises technology and equipment used by law enforcement
organisations around the world. It joined with the Cambridgeshire
Constabulary to create an innovative public private partnership to
streamline and improve the management of evidence and intelligence
across the whole of the county.
The constabulary is integrating the company's 'Forensic Phone
Analyser' FPA Platform into its intelligence workflow, to make
ground-breaking improvements in the quality of intelligence
obtained from mobile phone records, telecoms networks. The police
incur massive costs in this field and the FPA technology will help
Cambridge Police get more for their investment in intelligence
whilst at the same time cutting costs and reducing wasted time and
effort. Officers will gain a crucial advantage over criminals, and
so improve public safety.
Deb Leary, chief executive of Forensic Pathways, said: "This is
one of the most prestigious business awards in the country and we
are delighted as is our Partner Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
Innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
"In working with the police we have together pushed the
boundaries in the way police use intelligence ensuring officers are
able to get real intelligence, real-time and make decisions to
speed up crime detection and terror threats from the information
they hold. It has been a real pleasure to work with Cambridgeshire.
They have visionary people intent on delivering new solutions to
old problems".
Martin Lyne, Director for Small and Medium Enterprise for
headline awards sponsor, Orange, added: "To reach the final stage
of the UK's most important business recognition programme is an
enormous achievement. It is companies like these, who are bucking
the economic trend and delivering excellent results that will
benefit most when the upturn finally comes. It will be fascinating
to see which companies walk away with the awards in November.
"This year's finalists are a stimulating mix of established
businesses and new entrepreneurial ventures with a common thread
running through them all - resilience and determination to succeed.
The appetite for recognition amongst the UK's business community is
perhaps stronger than ever, as we've seen a 20pc rise in the number
of companies entering for these awards."
