The Stourbridge-based Western Region of Mansell Construction has
completed a £3.7 million refurbishment of hospitality suites
at Aston Villa Football Clubs ground in record time.
Mansell finished the project in just 10 weeks, working seven
days a week, often with more than 150 trades people on site.
The major project included the complete refurbishment of the
Holte Suite and the Park Suite as well as the Sky Box. The scheme
involved stripping out existing function rooms and boxes and
completely refitting them.
The contract followed hard on the heels of the refurbishment of
hospitality suites and offices in the Trinity Road stand. This
£3.7 million project was also completed by Mansell in
super-fast time.
Mansell's construction manager Dean Howard said, "The project
was on a very tight timescale with deadlines that couldn't be
missed if the work was to avoid disruption to the season's home
fixture schedule. Working closely with the design team and our
supply chain enabled us t meet the challenge for the second
time."
As the Mansell team got together to celebrate completing the
work in record time, they were joined by Aston Villa's legendary
former half-back Charlie Aitken who said he was extremely impressed
with the new facilities.
