Learn about council tendering, listen to experts, and network at big event!

One of the biggest business networking events in the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area is set to take place next on Tuesday 8th September.

Enterprise agency Erewash Partnership is organising the lunchtime event at The Village Hotel and Leisure Club, Brailsford Way, Chilwell.

The event is being held in conjunction with Erewash and Broxtowe Borough Councils, and sponsored by the University of Derby and Business Link East Midlands.

The emphasis of the event is on purchasing goods and services locally and there will be advice on how to tender for these from officials of the two borough councils and Derbyshire County Council.

There will also be advice on how to grow a business and to meet various experts in their fields.

This format is being repeated by demand after a similar event last year attracted 35 exhibitors, with 230 people attending.

Ian Viles, chief executive of the Partnership, which has a reputation for putting on popular events, said: "Last year's event at The Village exceeded expectations and despite challenging times I hope we will attract even more business representatives this year.

"There really is something for everybody, from people who are planning to or have just started in business and for those who are already established, whether sole traders or small to medium enterprises.  Plus there is a chance to meet old friends and make new contacts."

The event, from 11.30am-2.30pm is free and includes a buffet lunch. Anybody interested in exhibiting or just attending should contact the Partnership on 0115 944 3944.
