A leading-edge Solihull software company has signed a major
distribution deal to export its advanced management reporting
software to the USA, Australia and Far East with the support of UK
Trade & Investment.
Dynistics, of Blythe Valley Park, has pioneered the development
of Active Dashboards, an innovative graphical software reporting
solution to help any organisation to improve their operational
performance.
Managing director Anthony Dent said: "We spent several years
devising this solution after receiving financial support for our
research from Advantage West Midlands and now have thousands of
users within the UK, within not only large organisations such as
hospitals, colleges and household name companies, but also small
and medium-sized firms who need a real-time view of their critical
activities.
"We joined UK Trade & Investment's Passport programme in May
this year and have just agreed a distribution deal with a major US
software firm, Datawatch Corporation, who made their first sale
just two days after signing the agreement.
"Datawatch is NASDAQ-listed with tens of thousands of customers
in the USA, Australia, mainland Europe and the Far East, so we will
also be able to reach these markets through this potentially
multi-million pound distribution deal.
"Datawatch spent a great deal of time evaluating other graphical
reporting tools and found ours to be the most advanced compared to
other software products available in the USA and Europe - a great
endorsement of the innovative nature of our solution.
"We would never have come so far so fast without help from UK
Trade & Investment. Our international trade adviser, Jonathan
Webber, was hugely enthusiastic and very knowledgeable as to who we
should turn to for support. He put us in front of the right
contacts in a matter of days.
"We also received excellent advice from Hari Rai from UK Trade
& Investment's IntaTrade service delivered by Coventry
University Enterprises. Hari has helped us to ensure that we
protected our international Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and
to address issues around our licensing arrangements with
Datawatch."
Jonathan Webber, head of international trade at Birmingham
Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: "The success enjoyed by
Dynistics doesn't surprise me at all. They are an ambitious team
with a strong, innovative product and have approached their
international development in a structured and systematic
way.
"Dynistics has taken full advantage of the support and
assistance available to exporters through UK Trade & Investment
and I very much hope that news of the company's success will
encourage others to approach us with a view to advancing their
international trade ambitions."
UK Trade & Investment's flagship Passport programme gives
promising new exporters the training, planning and ongoing support
they need to succeed overseas.
Through Passport, Dynistics is benefiting from a package of
support, including a free export health check, attendance at an
export workshop, assistance in formulating an international trade
strategy and matched funding to help implement this strategy,
quality training and mentoring advice and access to the full range
of UK Trade & Investment services.
