Law firm Browne Jacobson has made a strong recommitment to
Birmingham city centre by renegotiating its occupation of existing
space within Victoria Square House, the Grade II listed commercial
building owned by F & C.
Browne Jacobson, represented by Drivers Jonas, has entered into
a new ten year lease, incorporating a five year break at an
undisclosed rent and market incentives.
Iain Blatherwick, managing partner at Browne Jacobson said: "We
are delighted to have agreed a restructuring and extension of our
lease. Victoria Square House provides us with good open plan
accommodation in a prominent building in the centre of the city and
is an ideal base from which to develop our full-service offering in
the West Midlands. Although we had seriously considered
moving to other buildings within the city centre the deal with our
landlord made it attractive for us to stay."
Jo Bligh, Corporate Partner added: "In this economic climate
there are clearly attractive deals to be obtained from a number of
good quality city centre office buildings. We decided to take
advantage of a break clause to negotiate revised terms on our
existing space and are delighted to have agreed a deal with our
landlords which leaves us well placed to concentrate on our
business from a reduced cost base."
