Law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed Matthew Woodford as a
partner in its Commercial Group in Birmingham.
Woodford joins the partnership after spending 11 years in the EU
& Competition Group at Eversheds.
Described in Chambers 2009 as a 'superb' lawyer and rated as a
leading individual in his field, Matthew has expertise in all
aspects of EU and UK competition law.
He has represented clients in a number of dawn raid
investigations by the OFT and European Commission, including
advising a number of businesses as part of the high profile OFT
cartel investigation into the construction sector. He also offers
particular experience in behavioural competition law and merger
control.
Matthew will work alongside Sharon Jones and Rachel Williams to
help develop Browne Jacobson's competition law practice.
