The latest technology and how accountancy firms can use it to
improve their businesses will be the focus of this year's MGI UK
and Ireland partners' and managers' conference in Buckinghamshire -
and non-members are also welcome to come along and share the
insights provided.
The international association of accountancy firms is having its
annual get-together from 26 to 28 November, under the title 'The
Future's Bright - The Future's Already Here'.
The conference agenda has now been finalised and will include a
keynote speech from respected scientist, inventor and TV and radio
personality Professor Heinz Wolff, who will be provide an insight
into the possible future of technology within professional firms
and the likely impact on their working practices and delivery of
services to clients.
MGI are delighted to have CCH as their primary conference
sponsor. Arepresentative from Blackberry will be talking about
technology 'must haves', while speakers from HMRC and Companies
House will discuss online filing. Disaster recovery and the need
for a plan will be the theme of one session. A presentation from
the IASB will focus on XBRL and future financial reporting
requirements while other speakers will include representatives from
Apple Inc, Digita, JE Consulting, ICAEW and Xero.
