The Serious Games Institute at Coventry University is holding a
conference next week with the focus on business applications of
Virtual Worlds.
The third Serious Virtual Worlds 09 (SVW09) conference on 17
September is hosted by the Serious Games Institute and Ambient
Performance and will highlight a variety of case studies that will
demonstrate the economic and ecological benefits of using virtual
spaces.
Large and small organisations are using virtual worlds to meet,
work and simulate working situations and this conference will show
exactly how this can be done.
There will be demonstrations from businesses as diverse as BP,
the Highways Agency and Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Virtual visitors are also welcome to join in as SVW09 will be
simulcast into the Forterra OLIVE platform. Available on line
will be presentations, videos and demos with the opportunity to
interact with the speakers, facilitators and each other.
