The University of Northampton has signed a memorandum of
understanding agreement to work in partnership with TATI University
College (TATiUC), Terengganu, Malaysia to provide course provisions
for TATIiUC students within its School of Applied Sciences.
A delegation of VIP visitors from Terengganu, including The Most
Honourable Dato' Ahmad Said, Menteri Besar of Terengganu and The
Most Honourable Dato' Dr Latiff Awang, Chairman of TATiUC, recently
visited the University to sign the agreement and to take a tour
around campus.
John Sinclair, Associate Dean (School of Applied Sciences),
commented: "We are pleased to have officially recognised the
links we have with TATiUC. We hope to deliver a one year, BSc
top-up programme in Non Destructive Testing for TATiUC students
here in Northampton which will be accredited by The British
Institute of Non- Destructive Testing. This is currently in
development.
"We are also discussing opportunities of working with TATiUC in
other areas of the University."
TATiUC is a private university college in Malaysia which offers
hands-on and practical theory in the fields of manufacturing
technologies, electrical and automation technology, chemical
technology and computer and media technology.
