A record number of lawyers at Browne Jacobson have been rated as
'leaders in their field' according to Chambers UK 2010.
This year 36 lawyers at the firm will be rated by the
independent guide when it is officially unveiled in October 2009.
Of these 23 are based in the firm's Nottingham office, 12 in
Birmingham and 1 in London. Last year the guide rated 30 of the
firm's lawyers as leaders in their field.
Partners Richard Barlow and Simon Tait appear in three
categories whilst a further seven fee-earners will receive a rating
for the very first time. They include Melanie Print (Commercial
Health), Shaun Tame (Construction), Victoria Dunstall
(Restructuring/Insolvency), Mark Daniels (Intellectual Property),
Bridget Tatham (Personal injury - mainly defendant), Mark Aldrich
and Kirsty Black (Real Estate Litigation).
The news follows a busy eight months for Browne Jacobson during
which the firm has announced record promotions and made a series of
high profile recruitments. Earlier this year the firm appointed a
new managing partner, Iain Blatherwick, swiftly followed by the
promotion of eleven fee earners - seven new partners and four
associates - bringing the total number of partners to 67, a record
for the firm. In addition the firm has made seven lateral hires
since January 2009 of which four have been at partner level.
Chambers UK profiles the work and achievements of law firms and
ranks solicitors and barristers in more than 60 specialist areas of
law across the UK based on extensive client research and
feedback.
Iain Blatherwick, managing partner at Browne Jacobson,
said: "We are committed to providing a first class range
of legal services to our clients in the regions and sectors we
serve. We can only achieve this by attracting highly able,
commercially astute lawyers. Chambers is widely seen as one of the
world's leading independent authorities on the legal sector so we
are delighted to have a record number of our lawyers regarded as
being the best in the business."
