Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce are attending The NATO British Industry Day in Brussels on Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September and are looking for West Midlands Defence and Aerospace companies to join them.  

The trip which has been organised by the International Trade Team as part of the West Midlands Defence and Aerospace Clusters and is a unique opportunity for Aerospace and Defence experts to attend the specialist NATO British Industry Open Day (Thursday 24 September).  The NATO British  Industry day is held once a year and offers companies an opportunity to access the organisation and learn from presentations on contract supply. 

The West Midlands in Europe Office (based in Brussels) will also host 1 day of the visit in conjunction with the British Embassy Commercial Team based in Belgium. The focus for 2009 will be the Defence & Aerospace industry in Belgium and offer networking and a brief tour of the aerospace/technology park near Brussels.

This visit has proved very successful in 2007 and 2008 for participating businesses in relation to business and market development plus the invaluable networking and introductions this event facilitates.

The cost of the visit including travel and accommodation is estimated to be £425; however, a £200 UKTI grant is available for eligible companies and applications are required by Friday 11 September.
