Lincolnshire chartered accountants Nicholsons are planning to
run more seminars to help local firms improve their online presence
after a successful 'taster' session on Google AdWords and Google
Analytics last week.
The free seminar on Friday (August 11) saw internet marketing
expert Liam Lally give a talk on AdWords - a scheme which allows
firms to increase the ranking of their websites through the use of
sponsored links - and Nicholsons partner Richard Hallsworth present
an overview of Analytics, a statistical package which helps site
owners understand who visits their site, what they look at and for
how long.
Richard said the taster session had proved a big success, with
over 20 representatives from local businesses attending, and plenty
of positive comments received.
As a result, a day-long seminar which will look at both Google
Analytics and AdWords in more detail has now been planned for
Tuesday, 22 September, for which there will be a charge.
A second free taster seminar is set to take place in October on
the subjects of search engine optimisation, e-marketing and social
networking, which will again be followed by a full-day event,
looking at the same topics in more depth.
Richard said: "The seminar went very well, and I've been
contacted by several people who attended to say how useful they
found it, with some already starting to take on board the
techniques they learned to increase their own online
visibility.
"As a result, we've decided to strike while the iron's hot and
schedule a more in-depth look at Analytics and AdWords, again with
Liam Lally, next month, as well as further seminars on other
aspects of online marketing."
