Another innovative new enterprise has joined the growing family
of creative businesses housed within Derby's Friar Gate
studios.
Luggage Rack, which has only recently been established, designs,
develops and sources bespoke luggage, bags and accessories for
leading brands and has taken a 458 sq ft office facility within the
Studios on Ford Street in the city.
The company is predominantly involved in the design of luggage,
leisure and sports bags as well as accessories. It has just
completed a range of cutting edge products for use in a diverse
range of sports including skiing, basketball, trekking, roller and
ice skating and motor sports which will be showcased at exhibitions
in Munich in early 2010.
It is also expanding its focus with the launch of its latest
licensed project, which involves the development of a unique
collection of garden related leisure bags for the Royal
Horticultural Society.
Purpose-built for the creative industries and fully equipped
with an extensive range of supplementary services, Friar Gate
Studios provides flexible office facilities, which are ideal for
new and growing businesses.

Friar Gate Studios were launched in spring 2007 in response to
the continued growth of the creative industries in the city and
surrounding areas. The Studios comprise of 40 offices, ranging in
size from 275 ft2 to 1,190 ft2 and offer stylish, modern office
facilities for businesses in the arts, design, media and other
creative industries.
Tenants have access to broadband, on-site management and
reception services, meeting rooms, IT support and visitor parking.
They also benefit from a range of other facilities, including
virtual office and hot desking, conference facilities, café
bar, video conferencing, event and networking opportunities.
