Entrepreneurs and business-minded foodies from across the region
are being invited to make their mark on the newly refurbished
café bar within Friar Gate Studios, the home of Derby's
creative industries.
An innovative and dynamic group or individual is being sought to
operate the fully equipped café bar within the studios on
Ford Street.
Situated within the studios just off Friar Gate in the heart of
the city's food and drink quarter, the café bar is fully
equipped with cooking facilities, refrigeration, stainless steel
sinks and worktops and dishwasher, and has a full licence to sell
alcohol.
It benefits from a strategic location close to shops and offices
- and not to mention a ready-made customer base of 25 companies in
the building. The new tenant would also have exclusive rights to
cater for the Studio's busy calendar of events.
Anyone interested in tendering for the contract to run the
café bar should submit a business plan, together with a
marketing strategy and detail how they intend to tie in their
business plan and operations to the 'creative industries'.
All enquires regarding the café bar should be directed to
Rigby and Co, who are agents for the scheme, on 01332 203377.
Commenting on the opportunity to take over the running of the
café bar, centre manager, Ann Bhatti said: "The
café bar will be a fantastic addition the busy and lively
atmosphere here at the studios and I look forward to receiving as
many business proposals as possible so we can find the best tenant
for the facility."
Friar Gate Studios were launched in spring 2007 in response to
the continued growth of the creative industries in the city and
surrounding areas. The Studios comprise of 40 offices, ranging in
size from 275 ft2 to 1,190 ft2 and offer stylish, modern office
facilities for businesses in the arts, design, media and other
creative industries.
Tenants have access to broadband, on-site management and
reception services, meeting rooms, IT support and visitor parking.
They also benefit from a range of other facilities, including
virtual office and hot desking, conference facilities, video
conferencing, event and networking opportunities.
