The Leicester office of national commercial property
consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), announced this week that
it is aiming to raise £1,500 for children's medical research
charity, Sparks.
The firm has entered a team of five runners into the Leicester
Marathon which will take place on Sunday 11 October 2009.
The team, which is made up of novice and seasoned runners,
including Head of Office - Geoff Gibson; Surveyors - Ben Oldfield,
Jenny Clarke and Tom Freer; and Marketing & PR Executive -
Nicola Hardy, will pound the streets of Leicester city centre to
raise money for the firm's national charity partner, Sparks
The race will begin at 9.15 am and will involve each team member
running approximately 5.2 miles over the 26-mile marathon
course.
Geoff Gibson, Head of LSH's Leicester office, commented: "This
will be the first time that LSH has entered a team into the
Leicester Marathon - what better way to challenge ourselves and
raise money for an extremely worthy cause at the same time?
"Sparks, whose research covers the whole spectrum of paediatric
medicine and is carried out by leading doctors and researchers
nationwide researchers, is saving and improving the lives of babies
and children throughout the world. I defy anyone not to be
touched by the excellent work they do."
