The offices of a top 50 national law firm are meeting the
issue of working parents within the company by adopting the
'KiddiVoucher' initiative.
The vouchers enable employees at Mills & Reeve to allocate
part of their gross salaries to such childcare provision as nursery
care, child minders, after-school clubs and other options.
The scheme, implemented through Birmingham-based nationwide
healthcare insurer BHSF and KiddiVouchers, a Government scheme
aimed at helping working parents, saves tax and National
Insurance
Families can save up to £2,391 a year by using childcare
vouchers, while employers save up to £373 a year per scheme
member.
The scheme operates in the Mills & Reeve offices in
Birmingham, London, Cambridge, Leeds, Manchester and Norwich, which
have a total of 90 partners and nearly 800 staff.
Brian Hall, BHSF sales and marketing director, said: "Not only
do KiddiVouchers provide an excellent service and meet with our
ethical ethos, but they also meet our value requirements, charging
the lowest administration fees we have seen in the market.
"This means the employer offers a superb benefit and can
actually make savings on their own NI costs".
Commenting on the administration, a Mills & Reeve member of
staff who uses the scheme, said: "I have been impressed with
KiddiVouchers. The process has been made very easy and everyone I
have spoken to has been very pleasant and helpful.
"It is always easy to get through to a relevant person on the
phone".
