Business Link and Nottingham City Council are proud to announce
that the first business to benefit from the Market Trader Start-Up
Scheme has begun operating in the Victoria Centre Market.
The Market Trader Start-Up Scheme is a partnership between
Nottingham's Markets and the regional Business Link Start-Up
Service and aims to provide local budding entrepreneurs with the
opportunity to develop skills to run their own business.
Through the scheme, market traders can receive a discount of up
to 50% discount on stall fees for the first 6 months of trading and
have access to Business Link's comprehensive range of free start-up
services that provide practical help, advice and information on all
aspects involved in setting up a new business.
Knitty Gritty, created and run by the partnership of Ed Jaison
and Lizzi Young, will be providing contemporary and specialist knit
supplies. Lizzi said, "The Victoria Centre Market is an ideal
start-up venue for us and with the support from both Nottingham
City Council and the regional Business Link service, we can look
forward to developing Knitty Gritty into a leading independent
focal point for Nottingham's knitters."
