Lincolnshire chartered accountants Nicholsons is hosting a free
seminar on how local firms can make better use of the internet to
generate new business.
The event on Thursday, 6 August, will be divided into two parts,
looking at two main areas - Google AdWords and Google
Analytics.
Adwords is a scheme that allows firms to increase the ranking of
their website by using sponsored links, bidding against other
companies and individuals by setting their own spending parameters,
daily budgets and keywords. Liam Lally, from Zaddle Internet
Marketing, who is a Google Adwords Professional, will be giving a
tour of the user interface, as well as tips and tricks to make the
most of the system.
Nicholsons partner Richard Hallsworth, will then give a short
overview of Google Analytics - a statistical package which helps
site owners understand who visits their site, for how long, what
they look at and where they come from. Richard will demonstrate how
to extract the data from the system and give an insight into how
Nicholsons has used the package to push its website up the search
rankings and develop an online marketing strategy.
Richard said: "Most firms are getting an increasing amount of
new business online, but with marketing strategies becoming ever
more sophisticated it is important to understand how the main
packages work.
"I hope this event will give business owners in Lincolnshire a
useful insight into how they can make the most of the
internet."
The seminar takes place at Nicholsons' headquarters at Newland
House, Weaver Road, Lincoln, from 5.45pm to 7pm, with arrival from
5.15pm. For more information or to book a place, call Jeannine Peta
