Business rates specialists Ruddle Merz - whose HQ is in Rutland-
has welcomed surveyor Brian Miklasz back to the company.
Brian returns to Ruddle Merz, where he had previously spent five
years, after working at one of corporate surveying company Gerald
Eve's national offices since 2004. An experienced practitioner,
Brian has over 20 years experience as a surveyor and spent 12 years
working for the Valuation Office Agency.
Ruddle Merz was formed in 1996 by Tony Ruddle the former
Chairman of Ruddles Brewery and Felix Merz a former non Executive
Director of Ruddles Brewery. Ruddle Merz have been growing
steadily, they moved into a million pound complex at Oakham Office
Park earlier this year as well as opening a London office and have
further exciting expansion plans in the pipeline.
The firm advises clients across the whole country on saving
money on business rates and is currently working on commercial
properties with an estimated rental value of more than £250m
and so far has saved clients over £87m on business rates.
Brian commented: "Ruddle Merz put effort into building long term
relationships with their clients. This means as
a surveyor there is an opportunity to work closely with companies
and look at on-going business rate issues as a client's property
requirements change.
"When I was given the opportunity to come back to the company I
jumped at the chance. Ruddle Merz has a fantastic reputation,
particularly when it comes to client servicing and that in itself
was a reason to come back to the fold.
He added: "I am impressed to see how much the company had grown
during my time at Gerald Eve and can see Ruddle Merz is obviously a
company that is thinking big. It is exciting to be working for a
business that is expanding, particularly when the new valuation
list is soon to be published."
A leading commercial property business rates specialist, Ruddle
Merz provides occupiers, owner-occupiers and property owners with a
range of professional services covering business space issues and
business rates reductions. They expect to get busier
over the next few months as firms hit by the credit crisis come to
them looking for ways to reduce costs.
Tim Bonham, CEO at Ruddle Merz added:"It is brilliant to welcome
Brian back to Ruddle Merz at such a dynamic time for the business.
He is a fantastic surveyor with great experience, and will really
strengthen our team."
