The enlargement and refurbishment of Forever Green, Mansfield's
stylish, contemporary restaurant and events venue, is now
complete.
Forever Green, which can now comfortably accommodate up to 150
people, is set in 70 acres of managed woodland, known as Ransom
Wood, and is conveniently located on the south east of Mansfield,
with easy access to Chesterfield, Newark and Nottingham, and just
10 minutes from the M1. The centre is ideal for a wide range
of corporate events, seminars and team-building activities, as well
as for private functions and weddings.
The 4-month programme has seen the creation of The Forest Suite,
a sumptuous new function room on the first floor that offers
fabulous views out into the treetops and incorporates a feature
solid ash bar, which together with relaxed break-out seating areas
coordinates with the ground floor restaurant, which is connected to
the first floor suite with a striking new staircase.
The refurbished restaurant complements The Forest Suite with the
use of solid wood and specially-commissioned butterfly wall
coverings. The double-height windows enhance the diners'
unique woodland experience, which also has views directly out into
the surrounding parkland.
Paul Jones is the new head chef and general manager who has
designed a comprehensive menu using locally-sourced ingredients,
which includes a wide selection of dishes as reasonable prices.
There is also a full hot and cold take-out menu.
Forever Green currently opens from 8am to 4pm, but from
mid-September opening hours will be extended to include evenings
and weekends.
Commenting on the completion of the refurbishment and
enlargement programme Ransom Wood's managing director, James
Cannon, said: "I am confident that Forever Green will emerge as one
of the best places in the region for corporate events, private
functions and weddings, as well as the restaurant becoming an
all-day destination in its own right."
To celebrate the official opening of Forever Green a launch
party is being organised, which will take place on Thursday 17th
September. Details of the event are still under wraps but it
is all set to be truly memorable.
