Solicitors.
Midland law firm MFG Solicitors has strengthened its employment
law division with a new recruit.
Amanda Pillinger joins the firm as an associate from Harrison
Clark in Worcester.
Amanda said: "I am delighted to be joining a firm that is
pre-eminent in the field of employment law - which I am going to
find both challenging and stimulating."
Amanda, who lives in Salford Priors, Worcestershire, studied
music at Surrey University. After initial training at the College
of Law in Guildford she qualified at Eversheds in Birmingham before
moving to Heatons in Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham and later
Harrison Clark.
She has acted for a number of high profile clients both
regionally and nationally, advising on many employment matters, in
particular whistle-blowing, unfair dismissal and
discrimination.
Amanda has also spent some years working in the field of
licensing for pubs and clubs, and hopes this knowledge and
experience will also be useful to clients of MFG.
Amanda's head of department is partner Sally Morris, who said:
"Amanda was outstanding as a candidate for this post and we are
delighted she has chosen to join our firm."
Amanda, a keen pianist, is married to Redditch firefighter Craig
Pillinger, whom she has known since childhood. They have two
children, five-year-old Alex and one-year-old Emily.
She was educated at St Edward's School in Oxford, where Lord
Olivier and Douglas Bader were pupils.
