Fresh from its success at the Business Awards Derbyshire, leading property auctioneer Graham Penny Auctions has announced that it is set to expand its operation with the launch of a new estate agency division.

The company, which scooped the Most Promising New Business category at the recent business awards, continues to dominate the East Midlands auction market and has retained the title of Auctioneer of the Year since its inception in 2006 after topping the Essential Information Group's league table for the highest sales.

The new division, which will be known as Graham Penny Estates, has been launched in response to increasing demand from both private and commercial clients who want to sell properties by private treaty as well as auction and prefer the convenience of placing properties with one company.

Robert Stone, who has more than ten years estate agency experience, has been appointed to manage the new division. Graham himself will be involved in the new division, but his focus remains on maintaining the success of the company's Derby and London auction operations.

Graham Penny Estates will operate from the company's existing premises on St James' Street in Derby.

Commenting on the division, Graham Penny said: "Over the past 12 months an increasing number of clients have enquired about the possibility of placing properties with us for sale by private treaty as well as auction. This new division will enable us to meet this demand and pass on our vast amount of market intelligence and experience to an even wider audience

Robert has lived and worked in the region all his life and has extensive experience of the local housing market and as a branch manager for a leading firm of estate agents. His local knowledge and expertise will prove invaluable to our new division," added Graham.

Graham Penny Auctions acts for both private individuals and institutions selling a wide range of interests, from investment properties and vacant houses to building plots, commercial investment properties and others.
