Nottinghamshire-based Greenhills Garden Centre is set to expand
with the acquisition of a former petrol filling station on
Nottingham Road in Ravenshead.
Acting on behalf of a private client, national commercial
property consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has successfully
let the premises to Greenhills on a new 15-year lease, subject to
planning consent to use the premises as a satellite garden shop
from its main premises in Sutton in Ashfield.
Once reconfigured, the new garden shop will comprise a 4,348 sq
ft of retail space and storage.
Paul Lathrope at Greenhills Garden Centres said: "We are
delighted with our new site which is only five miles from our
existing premises and will provide a second leading centre for all
gardening enthusiasts."
Sean Bremner, Head of Industrial & Logistics at LSH's
Nottingham office, said: "Many petrol filling stations are
struggling to operate during the current economic climate and it is
therefore extremely pleasing to find an alternative use for this
site which has been out of use for some two years.
"The high level of passing traffic and on-site parking proved to
be a huge draw for Greenhills who are confident they can trade well
from this location".
