Shropshire Council is reminding county businesses about a free
online service that can help them to find new customers.
Select Supply is operated by Business Link and helps businesses
to promote themselves to potential customers. There are currently
125 Shropshire suppliers registered on the online database - at
www.selectsupply.co.uk - but the council is encouraging more to
sign up.
David Roberts, Shropshire Council's Cabinet member for local
environment and economy, said: "Shropshire Council is working hard
to help local businesses during the economic downturn, and to make
them aware of support available to help them. We therefore
encourage businesses to register with Select Supply which is
effectively a free shop window. It offers businesses the
opportunity to grow their client base, make new contacts and access
valuable business resources - all completely free of charge."
All suppliers of services or products can register their details
at www.selectsupply.co.uk. After a straightforward accreditation
process, their company profile will be added to the database -
together with areas of expertise, case studies, rates and more.
Once approved, potential customers that need specialist support
will be able to access a company's information as part of the
service they receive from Business Link.
As an accredited supplier, businesses will be able to use the
Select Supply accreditation logo on their marketing tools to show
that they are an accredited supplier to Business Link.
