Employers are being given a lifeline for key staff concerned
about their personal finances as the credit crunch tightens its
grip, through a new programme of on-site complimentary Financial
Health Checks, launched this week by The Wilson Organisation.
The financial clinics are the brain-child of Stuart Startup, a
financial adviser in the Financial Services Division of The Wilson
Organisation, the Nottingham-based independent insurance broker and
financial adviser.
"Clients are telling us many employees are distracted by
concerns over their financial health in the current economic
turmoil," says Stuart.
"To help businesses show staff their support at this difficult
time, Wilsons is offering complimentary financial clinics, during
working hours and at their workplace, which will give employees the
chance to talk confidentially about their financial worries, so we
can help put their minds at rest and address any key concerns.
"All businesses, irrespective of size or industry, must operate
at optimum levels, especially so in the current challenging trading
conditions, and key employees not focussed on their roles and
responsibilities, or distracted in any way, will have an impact on
overall productivity. A financial health check could be one way of
easing employees' worries and maximising their overall contribution
to the business.
"By running these financial health clinics in work time and at
the workplace, employers can effectively sponsor an employees' time
for the initial half-hour consultation to reinforce their support
of staff."
