Marketing Birmingham are proud to announce classical music
sensation Escala will be performing at Taste of Birmingham.
Visitors can enjoy the sounds of the electric string quartet while
they tuck into their dishes.
Escala, a four piece girl band that fuse contemporary sounds
with classical instruments, are performing on the 96.4fm BRMB stage
on Saturday 11 July at 3pm. They caused a sensation in the final of
ITV's Britain's Got Talent and are hoping to wow visitors to Taste
of Birmingham.
Escala are violinists Victoria Lyon, aged 25, and Izzy Johnston,
25. Chantal Leverton, a viola player aged 25 and cellist Tasya
Hodges, 26 complete the line up. These talented musicians studied
at London's most prestigious music colleges, becoming highly
trained, professional classical performers. With their unique
formula of fun and integrity, the girls believe their approach will
encourage many (in particular the young) to overcome prejudices
about classical instruments.
The 96.4FM BRMB stage will also be playing host to acts from Tha
Jam House and The International Jazz Festival.
