A Stratford-upon-Avon accountancy firm, Murphy Salisbury helped
swell charity coffers by making a £3,000 donation to The
Stratford and District branch of the MS Society.
Cathy Millwood, chair of the Stratford organisation was
presented with the cheque, which was handed over by Murphy
Salisbury partner, Steve Smith.
The MS Society is one championed by the firm. Both Steve's
brother and a Murphy Salisbury employee, Janet Jackson, have the
condition, so when the opportunity to make a charitable donation
cropped up Steve says there was only one organisation he could have
picked.
"The MS Society is such a good cause anyway, but we get to hear
so much about the good work that the Stratford-upon-Avon and
District branch does locally," he said.
"It is very satisfying to not only help to support that work but
to know that Murphy Salisbury is playing a part in helping so many
people."
Cathy Millwood from the Stratford-upon-Avon and District MS
Society said: "We were delighted with the donation that Murphy
Salisbury has made. This will be a huge help to our
organisation."
