A group of local companies based in Derby's Friar Gate Studios
have joined forces to showcase their creativity and stamp their
mark on the building.
Tenants have worked together to create some innovative new
signage, which is aimed at raising awareness of the creative talent
housed within the Studios, on Ford Street in the city.
Tenants, ranging from photographers to fashion designers and
graphic designers to architects, have contributed their individual
talents to create a series of life size images of the various
tenants, which has been installed on the Studios' vast glass
frontage.
Clear films with imagery reflecting the creativity of the 23
businesses now adorn the windows of the impressive 26,000 sq ft
building, in a bid to heighten awareness of the city's creative
talent to passers-by and visitors to the conferencing and
café facilities.

Commenting on the new signage, centre manager Ann Bhatti,
said: "I am delighted to see this project come to fruition. It
has been fantastic to see everyone contribute their skills to
produce signage that represents the creative flair of our talented
tenants.
"Friar Gate Studios houses some of the region's most talented
creatives, so it's great to give them the opportunity to showcase
their work, revamp our signage and reflect the type of businesses
that are already thriving in the studios."
Friar Gate Studios were launched in Spring 2007 in response to
the continued growth of the creative industries in the city and
surrounding areas. The studios comprise of 40 offices, ranging in
size from 275 ft2 to 1,190 ft2 and offer stylish, modern
accommodation for businesses in the arts, design, media and other
creative industries.
Tenants have access to broadband, on-site management and
reception services, meeting rooms, IT support and visitor parking.
They also benefit from a range of other facilities, including
virtual office and hot desking, conference facilities, café
bar, video conferencing, event and networking opportunities.
