A group of accountancy trainees from leading chartered
accountants and business advisors Smith Cooper have proved their
potential following a series of successes in their recent
examinations.
One trainee at the firm, which is based on Haydn Road in
Nottingham, has become qualified, whilst six others have passed
their latest set of examinations and are one step closer to
becoming fully qualified accountants.
Steven Tawn who joined the firm in 2006, has completed his final
ACCA exams, whilst trainee accountants Stacey Simmonds, Victoria
Fell, Sian Wills, David Turton, Antonio Ferrara and Nicola Saxton
have all successfully completed their latest set of ACCA or ICAEW
exams and are continuing to study with Smith Cooper whilst gaining
experience in all areas of auditing and accountancy.
ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and
ICAEW (the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England &
Wales) are global bodies for professional accountants and provide
business-relevant qualifications to trainees seeking a career in
accountancy, finance and management.
Commenting on the trainees' recent success, managing partner
Greg Whiting said: "I am delighted for the trainees who have
succeeded in the latest round of professional exams and would like
to congratulate them on all their hard work."
Steven Tawn added:"I am thrilled to have completed my training
and am looking forward to gaining more experience with the audit
and accounts team here. I would also like to congratulate my
colleagues on their recent exam success and wish them luck for the
next phase of exams."
