Harworth Estates, the property arm of Britain's largest coal
mining company - UK COAL - is celebrating the continued success of
its Bilsthorpe Business Park development in North Nottinghamshire,
having recently secured two new occupiers.
The firm appointed national commercial property consultancy,
Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) around two years ago and since then
lettings have been secured on all but two of the units.
Midlands-based logistics, transport and removals firm, Lobina
Transport Services, has taken a five-year lease on Unit 2B
totalling 5,512 sq ft, which will be used as storage and
distribution space and start-up company, Ultimate Print, has taken
a five-year lease of Unit 5 totalling 3,213 sq ft.
The business park, a 50-acre former colliery comprising 12
self-contained units, ranging from 3,000sq ft to 22,000sq ft has,
occupies a convenient location between the North Nottinghamshire
towns of Mansfield, Newark and Worksop and benefits from easy
access to the major road networks, including the A1, A57 and
M1.
Other occupiers on the sought-after business park include
Granite Transformations, Easy Kitchens, Alkane Energy and
Nottinghamshire County Council.
Harworth Estates is responsible for managing UK COAL's portfolio
of land throughout the UK, which extends more than 46,500 acres and
250 commercial and residential properties.
Shaun O'Brien, Harworth Estates' Development Manager, said: "We
are thrilled with the level of success our appointed agents, LSH,
has had at Bilsthorpe Business Park and the fact that we are
nearing full occupancy."
Sean Bremner, Head of Industrial & Logistics at LSH's
Nottingham office, said: "New developments such as Bilsthorpe
Business Park are making major in-roads in regenerating North
Nottinghamshire, creating significant numbers of new jobs and
reducing the level of unemployment. These recent deals are
testimony to that fact and highlight the continued success of the
development since construction completed in 2007."
Clive Fiddler at Ultimate Print said of his decision to locate
his business at the development: "Bilsthorpe Business Park was the
ideal location for Ultimate Print. While occupying a
quintessentially rural location, its close proximity to the major
towns of North Nottinghamshire and excellent connections with the
A1, A57 and M1, together with the superior quality accommodation on
offer, makes for a fantastic combination and is unlike anything
else in the area."
Mr Bremner added: "We now have just two units available; we're
confident the Business Park will soon be full."
