A local networking group has been enjoying real success thanks
to a revolution in its management team, and is celebrating by
opening its doors to business people across the region.
4Networking has not only welcomed a new Group Leader for Telford
but also an Area Leader covering the Shrewsbury, Telford and
Wolverhampton groups, and the change in leadership is paying
dividends with a dramatic increase in visitor numbers.
"We've seen a 100% increase in numbers at Telford alone"
explained Nick Garvey, Telford Leader and Managing Director of The
Surveying Consultancy. "This has been helped somewhat by moving the
meeting venue to the Park Inn which is just off junction 5 of the
M54, but word appears to spreading across the business community
that our networking group really works" he concluded.
The group is part of the largest joined-up breakfast network in
the UK, and it's this combined with its unique structure which new
Area Leader and Director of Jigsaw Business Services, Julie Owen,
thinks is responsible for its unparalleled success. "Everyone is
really positive and friendly which makes the whole networking
experience less intimidating, but as a group we're also all very
active in seeking business opportunities" she explained.
"Unusually, time is set aside each and every meeting for three
separate, 10 minute one-to-ones where members can get to know each
other better, take briefs, get advice and - more often than not -
do firm business" she concluded.
The 4Networking group is open to business owners and leaders
across the region, and all interested parties are asked to visit
www.4networking.biz to book a guest place at an event, view the
4Networking map or search the list of members.
4Networking is a group of nearly 200 linked breakfast meetings,
and boasts over 16,750 business members. Based on a 'meet, like,
know, trust' culture which acknowledges the importance of building
longer-term business relationships, the breakfast meetings are
described by members as being '50% business, 50% social and really
effective'. Visitors can purchase a passport membership which
allows them regular access to every group across the UK, as well as
the chance to network up to four times per week if they choose.
