Fast-growing Worcestershire presentation and communication
company the drpgroup added to its roster of satisfied customers
after staging last month's Strategic Risk Awards in Berlin.
The event saw 160 risk industry professionals from across Europe
gather for the annual event, organised by Strategic Risk magazine,
and the evening passed off so successfully that the company has
already been commissioned to put on the same event next year.
The awards dinner included many influential names in the
European risk management sphere, as well as some of the world's
largest insurers, brokers and companies in the business.
Project manager Kirk D'Cruze first visited Berlin with the
client last November, to look at the venue and discuss the
company's requirements. Following the meeting, drpgroup came up
with a detailed proposal, which was accepted in January.
Kirk said: "After coming away from the meeting, we put together
a full proposal for the evening, including how the stage would
look, a running order and details of the pre-dinner drinks and
post-dinner party, with a casino and disco.
"By March, all of the client's requirements had been confirmed
and then it was a matter of designing the stage, sorting out the
table layout and putting together the plans for the casino later in
the evening."
Months of planning then came down to one day - with six members
of staff from drpgroup arriving in Berlin to ensure the ceremony
went off without a hitch.
"We flew out to Berlin the day before, and started building the
set on the morning of the event - by 5pm everything was ready and
we had time to go through rehearsals with the presenter and sponsor
before the event started at 7pm.
"In the end, the event went really smoothly - everything was
spot-on and the company were full of praise for us, with the head
of the company thanking us personally and saying we did a great
job."
Head of events at Newsquest Specialist Media, Debbie Kidman,
said drpgroup was the obvious choice for the awards ceremony,
having previously staged the Insurance Times Awards and Insurance
Times Forum for Strategic Risk's sister publication.
