A leading supplier of digital business telephone systems has
appointed Lichfield-based consultancy Ian Strachan Communications
Ltd to handle its press relations.
Solwise Telephony of Hinckley supplies internet-based telephone
systems to businesses across the UK, and for conferences and
special events. Solwise also supplies discounted telephone lines
and calls through BT Wholesale, and specialist business broadband.
The company is aiming to raise its profile regionally and across a
range of business sectors.
Solwise managing director Martin Stephenson said the company's
products and services were already used by some 600 clients
including the BBC, banks, and recruitment agencies.
"Our flagship product is our unique Sipswitch IP telephone
system which we spent five years developing. It provides customers
with guaranteed call quality, easy installation, high levels of
control and no minimum contract terms. We are one of the only
companies in the UK offering telephone and broadband systems on
contracts as short as seven days for special events and
conferences," he said.
"We chose Ian Strachan Communications because of its
wide-ranging experience and contacts and its no-nonsense, common
sense, value-for-money approach to PR, which will fit this
company's culture well," he added.
Ian Strachan Communications Ltd was set up nine years ago by Ian
Strachan, formerly corporate affairs director at Birmingham
commercial vehicle manufacturer LDV and corporate communications
director at Rover Group. Major clients include the SMMT Industry
Forum and Mansell Construction.
Ian Strachan said, "Solwise Telephony is a leader in its field
and I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to help the
company meet its business expansion goals."
