A Birmingham plumbing and central heating company working for
Mansell's Stourbridge-based Western region has been awarded the
firm's Supply Chain Health and Safety award. The success follows
its work at a major urban regeneration project in Sandwell.
Grail and Preece of Handsworth joins the exclusive club of
Mansell supply chain members who have been honoured with this
coveted award.
Mansell presents the award to suppliers who consistently display
excellence in health and safety processes and practices, reflecting
the high priority that Mansell places on this issue.
Grail and Preece carried out work for Mansell on the
multi-million pound PFI project for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough
Council and Riverside to upgrade hundreds of homes across the
region.
The award was presented by Simon Liversage, divisional manager
of Mansell's Western Region Partnership Housing division, in a
special ceremony at the site, in front of artwork done by pupils
from local schools.
Simon Liversage said "There is nothing more important than
health and safety on our many building sites across the country. We
are delighted to recognise Grail and Preece for the very high
priority the firm gives to health and safety issues, reflecting our
own values."
