HighGrowth East Midlands, a flagship business support programme
funded by East Midlands Development Agency (emda) and the European
Regional Development Fund continues to make a real impact on
businesses in Lincolnshire, helping them to grow despite the
challenging economic climate.
Building on the successes of the businesses who joined the
programme in 2008, emda is now recruiting over 60 businesses from
across the East Midlands to join HighGrowth East Midlands' Growth
Readiness programme before 30 June.
Despite the current economic climate, there are opportunities
for growth and businesses that are considering their future growth
plans are urged to come forward. The support provided by HighGrowth
East Midlands helps businesses to identify the barriers to growth
and develop a strategic plan to unlock their growth potential with
12 months of specialist help.
Dynex Semiconductor Limited of Lincoln is currently
participating in HighGrowth East Midlands. Dynex, a designer
and manufacturer of semiconductors for power electronic systems,
has a global reputation for engineering and R&D excellence.
The firm has ambitions to be recognised as a global leader in
its market sector, and the programme has helped it to prepare for
new expansion opportunities - the company forecasts to more than
double turnover in 4 years, up from £18.5 million in 2008.
Dynex was acquired by CSR Times Electric, a major Chinese
company in October 2008 and this acquisition has presented a number
of major growth opportunities for the business.
Commenting on the progress Dynex has made as a result of being
on the programme, Paul Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, said: "The
support we have received through HighGrowth East Midlands has
helped us to support the management team at this exciting time for
the business. We have identified people and organisational
development as critical to help us achieve our growth plans and the
support provided by our Growth Coach has provided valuable support
in developing our people skills so that we can prepare the company
for future growth."
Speaking about the HighGrowth East Midlands programme, John
O'Reilly, emda's Business Support Director said: "This is further
evidence that HighGrowth East Midlands provides growing businesses
with that crucial support and guidance vital to meeting the
challenges of the current economic climate and further identifying
growth opportunities. The programme also aims to equip businesses
with the 'know how' to unlock their growth potential and
development in the long-term."
HighGrowth East Midlands is currently recruiting businesses to
join its 2009 Growth Readiness programme. The closing date for this
year's applications is 30 June 2009, though businesses are
encouraged to apply early as places are limited. Interested
